MEDUSA MOON JELLYFISH
Carol Shepherd
When the moon is full
we gather in our thousands
leave our bedrock homes
to dance and spin
twirl til our skirts flare
waltz til morning
our skins translucent
pulsating in silken waves
When we dance together
we are strong -we bloom
in pale Moon beams
we break, form daisy chains
drift together
power in numbers
we gather speed and orbit
drawn towards warmer waters
We are invincible
We are immortal
We are beautiful
The Medusa Moon Jellyfish is an immortal species.
SOMETIMES, IT HAPPENS
James Lillefors
Sometimes, you are the wind
from an unknown world.
Sometimes I am a man
who wants to be lifted,
and blown away.
Sometimes, it happens.
Come to me, said the day,
row back through these startled
waters, ride out this once
-sacred storm. Return with me
to shore. To sure.
